Our GOVERNANCE

Cry for Justice Nigeria — Governance at a Glance

Cry for Justice Nigeria (C4J.ng) is an independent public-interest journalism and legal documentation platform dedicated to equity, justice, and the rule of law.

Mission

To document, explain, and preserve public records of legal and civic injustice particularly where court orders, judgments, or lawful processes are ignored, delayed, or undermined.

Core Values

• Truth — grounded in verifiable records
• Equity — fairness in the application of law
• Justice — respect for lawful authority and due process

Editorial Structure

Cry for Justice Nigeria operates a desk-based editorial system, not individual bylines:
• Fairness & Equity Desk ( Ododo)
• Rule of Law & Compliance Desk(Adalchi)
• Truth & Verification Desk( Eziokwu)

This structure protects contributors and reinforces institutional accountability.

Editorial Leadership

Cry for Justice Nigeria operates under a structured editorial system designed to ensure independence, accuracy and accountability in investigative reporting.

The Editorial Desk is led by :
Daniel Aiyetigbo, Editor-at-Large, who oversees investigative direction, evidence review, and institutional compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Supporting the Editor-at-Large is a small team of Assistant Editors responsible for:
•Document authentication and verification
•Source assessment and cross-checking
•Legal and compliance review
•Editorial consistency and fact validation

Due to the sensitive nature of investigative journalism in high-risk environments, members of the editorial team operate under structured pseudonyms. This policy protects the integrity of ongoing investigations while ensuring the institution remains fully accountable for its publications.

All reports undergo a multi-stage internal review process before publication.

Cry for Justice Nigeria stands institutionally behind every investigation it publishes.

Integrity is structural. Accountability is deliberate.

Editorial Independence

• No donor, institution, or individual directs coverage
• Funding is separated from editorial decision-making
• Publication is guided solely by public interest and evidence

Legal & Ethical Safeguards

• Evidence-first reporting
• Clear case-status labelling
• Corrections issued transparently
• Respect for ongoing judicial proceedings

What We Are Not

• A court of law
• A political organisation
• A litigation or advocacy body

Our role is documentation, explanation, and public accountability.
